BHH’s Brendan Healey will participate in Yale Law School’s fifth annual conference on Commercial Speech and the First Amendment on June 2, 2020. Brendan will be co-moderating, with Jonah Knobler from Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, a panel entitled “Milk from Nuts. Burgers from Soybeans. Can the states regulate what you call them?” The panel will explore the First Amendment implications of state efforts to regulate the uses of words like “milk” and “beef.”
The conference is hosted by the Floyd Abrams Institute for Freedom of Expression. The Abrams Institute is named after legendary First Amendment litigator Floyd Abrams, and “[t]he Floyd Abrams Institute for Freedom of Expression at Yale Law School promotes freedom of speech, freedom of the press, access to information and government transparency.”
The conference is free to attend and, for the first time ever, will be presented via webcast. For more information and to register, visit here: REGISTER HERE
