Catherine Ricca Lanzano guides businesses and employers of all sizes throughout a range of industries and settings.

EXPERIENCE

Catherine Ricca Lanzano has more than 20 years of experience serving clients in a wide range of civil and employment law matters. She represents businesses in commercial disputes, advises and defends insurance carriers in coverage matters, and litigates First Amendment questions.

Employment law has been a longtime focus of Catherine’s practice. She represents public and private employers in claims alleging discrimination based on gender, race, national origin, religion, and disability and manages claims involving sexual harassment, reverse discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract, and state-law tort claims. She also advises and defends clients in wage and hour disputes under federal and state law.

Catherine is sensitive to clients’ priorities throughout a range of industries and settings. She advises employers of all sizes on legal compliance and best practices, aiding in the development of policies, employee handbooks, and employment agreements. Catherine enjoys working collaboratively to solve problems and respond to employment law questions, with particular attention to the client’s values and mitigation of risk.

Catherine is also a seasoned workplace investigator, having completed dozens of impartial, in-depth investigations into allegations of unlawful workplace conduct and policy violations. She brings her investigative experience and natural curiosity to every matter, pursuing the facts of each dispute and offering creative legal theories and solutions to problems.
